RCAC Members Playin' Around

Playing Scandinavian tunes at a Lutefisk Dinner by Delette Huffman and Bev Spurgeon

Delette Huffman and Bev Spurgeon played for three settings of Lutefisk Dinner diners at Kelso, WA Sons of Norway Hall. It was a fun-filled day of Scandinavian tunes. Bev even overcame her fear of cod and tried a bite of lutefisk!

Christmas in the Window by Bobbie Ferrero

Most RCAC Most RCAC musicians play OUT for gigs but for 3 years I and some squeezing buddies have been playing IN. For the six nights before Christmas eve, I invite a different player to join me inside to play music to passers by. With the amp on the porch, we catch the attention of walkers who are headed to the next street over which has an awesome displays of lights.  So I have a built in audience.
Playing with me over the past couple of years are Bev, Jeanette,  Lisa, Delette, Coreen, Sue,  Don, Kathy and Roxi along with her husband Eric who sets up my equipment.

I think this has become a tradition and I love it!! play OUT for gigs

Playing for Jerry Lauzon by Marlene Meissner

Playing for Jerry Lauzon by Marlene Meissner

Jeff Nelson and I, along with friend Ken Ochsner (left) on tuba, were honored to play some German tunes for Jerry Lauzon, Mt. Angel's "Mr. Oktoberfest," and his wife Connie, Mt. Angel's "Queen of Oktoberfest," at his Vancouver assisted living home on December 15.  Jerry didn't miss a beat, adding his voice with gusto to all the German lyrics.
