1) Susan Schwab, Camp Director, reported on registrations for the 2025 RCAC Accordion Camp in June. To date all the rooms have been filled. There is still room in the orchestra, however all the rooms at Collins Retreat Center are full. Participants will have to commute from home or nearby Sandy or Estacada. As of today, there are 36 orchestra players. The music for camp is almost ready to be delivered via email. As noted earlier, the ForScore workshop to incorporate mp3’s for practice purposes will be before the next meeting.
2) Club dues need to be paid by March 1, 2025. The various ways to pay our Treasurer, Susan Schwab, are on page 5 of this newsletter. Dues are $25/year.
3) At the February 3 Board Meeting, donation of accordions, music and books was discussed. The consensus of the Board is that if someone wants to bring items to club meetings, they are welcome to do that. However, they also need to take them home afterwards. We have no storage space for anything. The room is only available to us for meetings. I will continue forwarding emails that I receive of accordions people are selling and/or giving away. It is important to help out our fellow musicians so that these items can find good homes.
