The meeting began with the final and 4th ForScore workshop conducted by Bobbie Ferrero and Delette Huffman. This time the focus was on how to merge the mp3’s with the written camp music. Many, many thanks to Bobbie and Delette for helping us transition from notebooks filled with paper to the iPad with a foot pedal for easier playing.
The business meeting started at 12:15. There were only a few announcements:
1. The microphone and amp used today at the meeting was purchased with a grant from Mt. Angel Oktoberfest organization. Thanks to Marlene Meissner for suggesting this grant opportunity to enhance the clarity of speakers at the meetings.
2. The next meetings are: April 19th and May 17th. These will be at the regular time. I am the music circle leader for April and Micah is leading the May meeting.
3. May 5, 2025 will be the next Board meeting. It will be held at Delette Huffman’s home in Canby. All members are welcome to attend. Any questions and/or suggestions are always welcome.
4. Gabe (camp conductor for 6 years) and his wife Jamie are expecting a baby in May. I received the baby registry information. If anyone would like it, please send me an email at maddoxfran43@gmail.com.
After Sergei and Maria Teleshev’s performance, the members shared their songs with the group. Ann Kendrick (accordion teacher from Salem) attended today and brought two of her students: Samuel and Shirley.
