Welcome to the first meeting of 2025.  The meeting started with a ForScore workshop presented by Bobbie Ferrero and Delette Huffman.  There were about 10 participants to learn more about "cutting and pasting" in the app.  In March, there will be another short workshop to learn about using the app to play the mp3's that come with the RCAC accordion camp music.  

The music circle was led by Delette Huffman and the songs played were:  Moon River and Give Me My Heart Back (both in parts). Just Another Polka was led by Coreen Bergholm as many members are playing for the Scandanavian Festival in Astoria in June.  

Several visitors attended the meeting today.  They were introduced and welcomed by the group.  

Announcements:

1).  Club dues of $25 are to be paid by March 1, 2025.  Methods of payment are found on the membership page of this website.

2).  Karl Kment's bio page was shared with the group.  Karl was well known throughout the accordion community as a player and teacher.  His bio is under the "more" section of this website.

3.   February 15, 2025, Todd Carlson will present a workshop on Musescore, which is a musical notation app.  Todd will communication directly with those who have signed up for the workshop.

4.  Tee shirts are still available through Keizer Tees.  Contact Fran Maddox to order one. They are $15 and available in black and/or white; sizes S-XLG.

5.  A $2,000 grant has been awarded to the club to be used for the RCAC Accordion Camp in June.  Many thanks to Clackamas County Arts Coalition for awarding this to us.

6.  The March 15th meeting will feature Sergei and Maria Teleshev as Featured Performers.  They will play from 1:00-2:00. No music circle in March.
